"BROWNING — The Blackfeet Tribe signed its third major oil exploration agreement, the largest in the tribe's history, Oil and Gas Manager Grinnell Day Chief said Friday.
Darryl Howard, president of Newfield Production Co., a Houston firm with regional offices in Denver, came to Browning on Thursday to sign an agreement allowing them to drill test wells in the middle of the reservation, Day Chief said.
"We have a drilling commitment that will require them to drill a number of wells, if successful," he said. "It's the largest agreement we've ever signed."
Day Chief said Newfield will be drilling horizontal wells into the Bakken Formation and other formations that lie below the surface of the middle of the Blackfeet Reservation. Horizontal drilling into the Bakken Formation is very productive in the northeast corner of Montana"...

Mielenkiintoinen ja samalla outo uutinen. Ensin outo osuus: Bakken ei yhdenkään näkemäni kartan mukaan ulotu tuohon reservaattiin asti, edes Williston Basin(johon Bakken kuuluu) ei ulotu tuonne asti.
Mielenkiintoista tässä on se että Crescent Pointin pari kuukautta sitten ostama Wave Energy omisti pari sataatuhatta eekkeriä mineraalioikeuksia Mustajalkojen reservaatin itäpuolelta ja nyt nuo oikeudet kuuluvat siis CPG:lle.
Etsintäporausta on suoritettu eri puolilla maailmaa ja useimmat kaivot ovat tyhjiä, joten vesiperä on todennäköinen tuollakin varsinkin kun ottaa huomioon että alueella ei ole juurikaan aiempaa tuotantoa, mutta silti mielenkiintoinen hanke.

Seadrillin osinko oli kilahtanut tänään tilille. Ei ole kokemusta noista Bermudalaisista osingoista miten niistä verot?
Jos omistat suoraan niin se on ainakin tänä verovuonna ansiotuloa Bermudalta, eli verotus ansiotuloprosentin mukaan. Ensivuonna mahdollisesti normaalia osinkotuloa.
No toivotaan todella että ensi vuonna nuo verosopimukset saadaan normalisoitua. Ihan sairasta jos niistä nyt asiotuloprosentin mukaan, en ollut edes ajatellut. No se koskee vain yksityistä salkkua, mutta kuitenkin, kyseessä jo rankasti verotettua rahaa.
