VLE ↑ & ↓

Valeuralta tuli tilanne päivitys puolisen toista viikkoa sitten:

VALEURA PROVIDES QUARTERLY OPERATIONAL UPDATE

The fracs completed to date have confirmed commercial gas production from at least one sand interval in the Mezardere formation (Mezardere shale and Teslimkoy sand units) within structural closure on several structures on the TBNG-PTI lands.

Merkittävä tuotanto epätavanomaisista muodostelmista on vähintään vuoden päässä. Tavanomaisien ansojen suhteen voi lykästää, mutta CoS lienee noissa 5-10%.

Luuran kuulumisia

VALEURA PROVIDES QUARTERLY OPERATIONAL UPDATE

Alla lainauksia tiukankivenkaivojen™ osalta:
Yazir-2 Well
As reported on August 25, 2011 the Corporation carried out a two-stage frac on the Yazir-2 well on July 18 in two relatively tight Teslimkoy sand intervals in the Mezardere formation at depths of approximately 1,100 metres and 885 metres. Both fracs were mechanically successful. After failing to establish early gas production from the first stage frac, albeit before all the frac fluids wererecovered, testing of the shallower second stage frac was initiated. Well performance and temperature log data indicated that the second stage frac height was higher than planned and appeared to intersect a high pressure water zone above the targeted frac interval. Only trace amounts of gas were produced. Further clean-up of the first stage frac (70% of frac fluids recovered to date), which targeted a gross sand interval of 39 metres, established a gas flow rate of up to 175 Mcf/d. The well is now being tied-in to the gathering system and the first stage frac interval will be placed on production by the end of October to complete the recovery of frac fluids and to determine gas production potential.

Kayi-15 Frac
The second well re-entry and frac was carried out on the Kayi-15 well on September 30. Based on the experience at Yazir-2, it was decided to test a more directed, "limited entry" frac over five sets of perforations within a targeted gross sand interval of 129 metres in the Teslimkoy sands at a depth of approximately 1,260 metres. Prior to carrying out the frac, each set of perforations was individually swabbed to establish some gas flow and the absence of any significant formation water flow. The perforations were then simultaneously frac'd. The frac was mechanically successful and temperature logging indicated that the aggregate frac height was contained within the targeted gross sand interval. Clean-up operations are continuing at the well to recover all of the frac fluids. The well is flowing naturally and producing gas and frac fluids.

BTD-2 Well
The third well re-entry and frac was carried out on the BTD-2 well on October 3. A relatively small single-stage frac was placed into a Teslimkoy gross sand interval of 29 metres in the Mezardere formation at a depth of approximately 980 metres. The frac was mechanically successful and the well was swabbed to recover the frac fluids. Gas production was quickly established and a subsequent six-hour flow test yielded a stabilized gas flow rate of approximately 2,300 Mcf/d on a 32/64ths inch choke at a flowing wellhead pressure of 700 pounds per square inch ("psig"). The well iscurrently shut-in for a pressure build-up test.

BTD-2 vaikuttaa ihan hyvältä.

Valeura vaatii hieman kärsivällisyyttä, kun ollaan uudisraivaushommissa Turkissa.

Ostin, möin, osan voitoistani join

Kuten tuli mainittua Argosyta ostin takaisin hieman.

VALEURA EXECUTES CONDITIONAL OFFER FOR US$61.5 MILLION ASSET PURCHASE IN TURKEY AND ANNOUNCES BOUGHT DEAL FINANCING FOR $75 MILLION

CALGARY, Feb. 9 /CNW/ - Valeura Energy Inc. ("Valeura" or the "Corporation") (TSX-V: "VLE") is pleased to announce that it has executed a conditional offer (the "Offer") with TransAtlantic Worldwide Ltd. ("TransAtlantic"), a wholly-owned affiliate of TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd., to acquire (the "Acquisition") natural gas production of approximately 10.0 mmcfd (net before royalties), 546,030 net acres of land in the Thrace and Anatolian basins of Turkey (the "Assets") and exposure to a world-class unconventional tight gas opportunity in the Thrace Basin for a purchase price of approximately US$61.5 million in cash.

Unconventional Gas

The Corporation believes there is upside potential associated with applying North American well completion technology to exploit deeper tight gas sand reservoirs in the Mezardere, Ceylan and Hamitabat formations at depths to the top of these formations from 1,000 to 3,500 m. Selective deep drilling in the past indicates the presence of relatively low porosity (3 to 15%), stacked sandstone reservoirs in these formations that are gas-charged. TBNG and TPAO, the Turkish national oil company, have carried out fracture treatments on a number of deeper wells in the past 20 years in the Hamitabat and Mezardere formations in the Thrace Basin and have achieved post fracture rates up to 3 to 4 mmcfd. The Hamitabat field operated by TPAO is producing from the Hamitabat formation at a depth of approximately 2,850 m and has produced approximately 100 bcf to date.

There are many other analogies of tight gas reservoirs around the world in similar basins that have benefited from the application of modern drilling and completion technologies and robust capital investment. The Montney formation in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin is currently being developed with horizontal wells and multi-stage fracture treatments with considerable success. In parts of the Thrace Basin, there are up to 9,000 m of Tertiary-aged sediments with a number of tight gas and other unconventional gas targets that are expected to benefit from multi-stage fracture treatments in vertical wells, given the relatively thick nature of the stacked sandstone reservoirs.

On a preliminary basis, the Corporation has mapped five closures under existing shallow gas fields on the Thrace Basin onshore Lands at the Mezardere horizon, alone, which could be prospective for tight gas development. Exploration and development of these and other unconventional targets is expected to be an important focus of the Corporation's go forward capital program. Equipment for this purpose is becoming increasingly available in Turkey at competitive costs, including equipment from a service company affiliated with TransAtlantic.

A new work program and budget for 2011 on the Thrace Basin onshore Lands is currently under development by the operator.
